Mike Brearley
Principal
For over 45 years, Mike Brearley has been dedicated to local government civil engineering. With a career in local government spanning three decades, and 14 years consulting, Mike has worked at all levels of local government engineering. From a Junior Engineer to Director of Infrastructure and Acting General Manager, Mike knows what is required from each role to effectively deliver local government programs and projects.
For the last fourteen years, as Mike Brearley and Associates, Mike has provided services for regional councils across New South Wales. His efforts in developing innovative solutions for small Councils within very constrained budgets are well recognised across the industry. Mike understands the challenges faced by Councils in regional and rural NSW.
Matt Griffin
Senior Project Engineer
Matt has worked in the civil construction industry for over 10 years, working for civil and sewer contractors. In this time, Matt managed civil engineering projects for a major contractor including new subdivisions, infrastructure, state roads, intersections, and wetlands. This required the ability to coordinate with multiple authorities, clients, and subcontractors, under tight time constraints and with often contradictory requirements.
Matt brings his construction background and contract knowledge to Mike Brearley & Associates, supporting local councils in the delivery of typical and unique projects.
